The Indian Board of Control for Cricket has revealed the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 schedule for the first two weeks! The dates of everything are set for March 22, 2024, to April 7, 2024. During these two weeks, cricket fans may watch 21 matches in 10 cities. Every team will play at least three games and a maximum of five games during this time.

The excitement will begin on Friday when the Chennai Super Kings, who have won the title five times, take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. This is the team’s 17th season. What looks to be an action-packed event is off to a thrilling start!

There will be two doubleheaders on the inaugural weekend. Prepare for a thrilling match between the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on Saturday afternoon. The Sunrisers Hyderabad will play the Kolkata Knight Riders later in the evening. A fantastic day full of nonstop cricket action is in store!

The action will go to Jaipur on Sunday afternoon, March 24, when the home team Rajasthan Royals takes on the Lucknow Super Giants. On Sunday night, brace yourselves as the local favourites, Gujarat Titans, who clinched the championship in 2022 and were last season’s finalists, will go head-to-head against the formidable five-time champions, Mumbai Indians. It’s going to be an intense showdown you won’t want to miss!

 

Also, marking their presence in Visakhapatnam for their initial home matches, the Delhi Capitals have an exciting lineup. They’ll be facing off against the mighty Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, March 31st, followed by a clash with the Kolkata Knight Riders at the same venue on Wednesday, April 3rd. So, cricket enthusiasts in Visakhapatnam are in for a treat with these thrilling matchups!

As it has in the past, the BCCI will work closely with governmental and security agencies in accordance with all applicable directives and cautions concerning the approaching Indian Lok Sabha Elections. After the dates for the 18th Lok Sabha elections are announced, the Board will review and address any issues with the schedule for the first two weeks.
